Meet Our Doctors at Scripps Ranch
 |
Dr. Patricia
Teague Smith received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from
Colorado State University in 1978. She owned Scripps Ranch
Veterinary Hospital from November 1984 to March 2007. Upon selling
to Pet Drx, a corporation of hospitals in California, Dr. Teague
remained as Medical Director and staff clinician. Her older son
Jason is an engineer and is continuing with graduate school at San
Diego State University. Younger son Cody is a senior at University
of Arizona at the Eyler School of Management and Marketing. Dr.
Teague’s hobbies include hiking, skiing, tennis and horseback
riding.

Dr. Patricia
Froehlich graduated from the University of Illinois College of
Veterinary Medicine in 1976. She completed a 3 year internship and
residency in Radiology, then her Masters in Veterinary Clinical
Science with Nuclear Medicine Imaging in 1981. That same year, Dr.
Froehlich and her husband moved from Illinois to San Diego. They
have 2 daughters, one of whom has completed her MBA and is currently
working in Orange County. Her other daughter is a veterinary student
at Iowa State University. Dr. Froehlich enjoys photography,
quilting, horses and the outdoors. She also enjoys spending time
with family and friends.

Dr. Ira Abrams, DVM
 |
Dr. Ira Abrams is the newest member of our team of doctors. He has
been associated with Scripps Ranch Veterinary Hospital for the past
2 years. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of
Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Abrams has been in private practice for
over 30 years, including 21 years as a practice owner. He is happily
married, and has a teen-aged son. |
